Usually, refinances take less time than purchases since less documentation is required, and there are less moving parts than on a purchase. Again, the timeframe for obtaining an appraisal and the necessary inspections from third party vendors play a large part in determining time to close, but typically refinances can be completed in 45-60 days.

Like a residential loan, you will be asked to document your income, assets, and credit, as well as the funds you will need for a down payment and closing costs and cash reserves when you are purchasing a property.
Typical additional documentation would include a Personal Financial Statement, Current Rent Roll of rents received from the property, projected rent roll of rents you anticipate receiving from the property in the future, and current lease agreements, if any.
